Tunisia has received a large batch of security equipment provided by the United States, as part of bilateral cooperation in the fight against terrorism. An initiative which is part of strengthening the security partnership between the two countries.
Material support within the framework of anti-terrorism cooperation
The United States Embassy in Tunisia announced the donation of security equipment worth an estimated $1.4 million to the Tunisian authorities. This allocation is part of American support programs dedicated to the fight against terrorism and the strengthening of security capacities.
According to the American diplomatic representation, this operation aims to support the efforts made by Tunisia to face security challenges and improve the effectiveness of its prevention and response systems to threats.
A security partnership presented as lasting
In a publication posted on social networks, the embassy stressed that this initiative illustrates the solidity of security cooperation between Washington and Tunis. It also reflects the common desire of the two countries to consolidate stability and security, both at the national and regional level.
American authorities believe that this type of support contributes to strengthening the operational capacity of Tunisian forces, while being part of a vision of long-term partnership based on shared interests in security and regional stability.
