The Ministry of Education unveiled, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, the results of the national ninth year’s basic competition, revealing an overall success rate of 63.07%. A figure in slight progression compared to previous sessions.

Among the 33,183 students who had passed the exam, 16,290 obtained an average equal to or greater than 10 out of 20.

In total, 4,287 students were assigned to pilot high schools, the most selective establishments in the Tunisian education system. This orientation is based on the individual performance of candidates, but also on the quotas set.

A name at the top of the ranking

The ministry also welcomed the excellence of a young prodigy: Koubaïs Ben Sassi, a student at the El Menzah 5 pilot college, won the best national average with 19.37 out of 20.

Beyond the validation of the school career, this examination is of particular importance for students who wanted to integrate a pilot high school. They were in the running for one of the 3,750 places available in these elite establishments across the country, according to a ministerial decision dated May 12, 2025 setting the reception capacities for the start of the 2025-2026 school year.

Individual results can be viewed online or via SMS. Lycée assignment procedures will be started this week, while registrations for the start of the 2025-2026 school year should start in the second half of July.
