Despite an overall positive year for the results of BAC 2025, the Minister of Higher Education, Mounir Belhaj, sounds the alarm: the mathematical sector continues to lose ground in the secondary. When the national days of university orientation was opened, he recognized that this disaffection constituted a strategic weak point for the country.
The government is preparing, in coordination with the Ministry of Education, measures to reverse this trend, considered worrying in a global context where scientific disciplines are crucial for economic competitiveness and innovation.
More than 76,000 admitted to the bac: a contrasting assessment
According to official figures, 76,128 students succeeded in the baccalaureate this year (all sessions combined), 1801 more than in 2024. All the sectors recorded an increase in the number of admitted, with the notable exception of the economy and management sectors.
