The security forces brought a double blow to drug trafficking this weekend. On the one hand, the Interior Ministry has announced the dismantling of a dangerous international criminal network, with the arrest of ten people and the seizure of nearly 3000 cannabis plates. On the other hand, an operation carried out in Sousse made it possible to intercept additional 400 kg of drugs at the port of the city.
An international neutralized network
On Saturday evening, the Interior Ministry revealed the details of a large operation supported by in -depth intelligence work. The security forces arrested ten individuals suspected of belonging to an active international network in drug trafficking.
The entry is large: 2942 cannabis plates, 70,000 dinars in liquid, quantities of gold, a firearm, a sophisticated jamming device. Three cars, one truck, three motorcycles, two zodiacs and four fishing boats used for traffic logistics have also been confiscated.
A separate seizure in Sousse
Almost simultaneously, in Sousse, the Central Brigade for the Fight against the Narcotors of the National Guard intercepted around 400 kg of cannabis in a port of the region, under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office 1, reports Mosaique FM. Several suspects have been arrested and are heard as part of the investigation.
These operations mark an intensification of the fight against transnational trafficking of narcotics. The authorities highlight a “blow” brought to organized networks with sophisticated logistical means.
