A large school supplies control campaign was launched this Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from the headquarters of the Ministry of Commerce. This joint operation mobilizes the control teams relating to the Ministries of Commerce, Interior (Police and National Guard), Health as well as Tunisian Customs.

According to Besma Trabelsi Ben MaouiaDirector General of Quality, Interior Commerce, Crafts and Services at the Ministry of Commerce, this campaign aims to combat the marketing of products from unknown provenance and to verify the accuracy of the information on school supplies put on sale, in order to protect consumers.

She said that control operations, already initiated in a preventive manner since last July, concern all distribution circuits, both basically and in detail.

The authorities also endeavor to verify the quality of the products and their compliance with the standards required.
