The National Institute of Meteorology (INM) has published a follow-up form announcing the appearance of stormy cells accompanied by locally intense rains on Friday afternoon. The regions concerned are Kasserine, Siliana, Kairouan, Zaghouan and northern Sidi Bouzid.
According to the INM, the first storm cells are expected on Friday afternoon with gusts of wind temporarily exceeding 70 km/h. Precipitation will extend Saturday afternoon to the western heights of the north and center, then touch the east of the country.
The most exposed regions are Kasserine, Sidi Bouzid, southern Siliana, Kairouan and Zaghouan. The pluviometric cumulation could reach 30 to 50 mm, with a risk of local hail.
INM calls for vigilance in the face of gusts which can exceed 80 km/h during stormy episodes, as well as at the risk of localized floods due to heavy rain.
In addition, temperatures will oscillate between 29 ° C in the North and 44 ° C in the South under the effect of the Sirocco.
