According to figures published by the Agence for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII), Tunisian industrial exports reached 38.2 billion dinars between January and August 2025, an increase of 2.5% compared to the same period of 2024. The textile-habment sector comes first, while the intentions of industrial investment and services confirm a defined dynamic.
Textiles at the top of exports
With 7.4 billion dinars, the textile sector, clothing, leather and shoe dominates Tunisian industrial exports. It is followed by the food industry (4.1 billion dinars); the chemical industry (2.5 billion dinars); Mechanical and electrical industries (2 billion dinars).
The investment intentions declared to the APII amount to 1.2 billion dinars, intended to finance more than 1900 projects. Ultimately, these investments should make it possible to create more than 20,000 jobs as soon as the new units is entered into production.
On the service side, declared investments reach 783.3 million dinars, with 7031 projects and 35,661 new planned jobs, confirming the vitality of this sector.
