The National Institute of Meteorology (INM) published, this Friday, August 29, 2025, the pluviometric surveys of the last 24 hours, reporting sometimes abundant precipitation in several governorates of the country.
The most important cumulatives
The most important precipitation was recorded in particular at KEF: the delegation of Kalaat Khasba recorded 24 mm, while Sakiet Sidi Youssef noted 10 mm.
In Zaghouan, a notable 22 mm cumulative was recorded in Bir Mcherga. In Siliana, the Sidi Bourouis region recorded 22 mm and 11 mm Bouarada. In Kasserine, the cumulators have reached 16 mm in certain localities. In Béja, significant rains were recorded in Nefza (11 mm) and Teboursouk (11 mm).

INM has reported the fall of hail in certain regions, notably in Aïn Bou Saïdia (Siliana) and Kalaat Khasba (KEF).
Thunderstorms expected
These rains occur in a context of drop in temperatures announced by the weather services, accompanied by sometimes strong winds and a restless sea on the East coast.
This Friday, August 29, will also be marked by precipitation. According to the INM, locally dense clouds will cover the north and the center, with thunderstorm cells accompanied by rains. They will also concern certain southern regions in the afternoon.
This precipitation, which could reach up to 60 mm depending on the region, should be abundant, especially in Kef, Siliana, Zaghouan, Kasserine, Sidi Bouzid and Kairouan, where hail falls can occur in places.
