The Minister of Health, Dr. Mustapha Ferjani, welcomed the executive office of the Tunisian Association of Emergency Medicine to discuss the strengthening and development of emergency services, both at the hospital level and in the pre-hospital phase.
During this meeting, several measures were put forward to improve the efficiency and responsiveness of the system. These include modernizing mobile resuscitation units and strengthening coordination on the ground, increasing specialized human resources and equipping emergency services with modern technologies. The objective is also to guarantee optimal working conditions for medical staff while ensuring patient safety.
Accelerate the management of critical cases
Furthermore, the digitization of the emergency route and the updating of work systems will make it possible to accelerate the treatment of critical cases. Improving infrastructure and reorganizing the patient journey aims to reduce pressure on services and provide better quality care. The ministry also wants to encourage scientific research and the use of artificial intelligence to anticipate emergency situations, facilitate diagnosis and guarantee a rapid response.
The development of emergency medicine is presented as a national priority, essential to save lives and ensure a faster, more efficient and equitable health service for all.
