The criminal chamber of the Tunis court of first instance rejected, this Tuesday afternoon, the requests for release filed in favor of four members of the National Guard union, including a retired executive.
The accused are prosecuted for serious facts, in particular qualified betrayal, false and use of false documents, as well as money laundering. According to the judicial file, these charges are based on suspicions of illicit funds belonging to the members of the union.
At the request of the defense lawyers, the case was referred to the hearing of June 27, 2025, in order to enable them to consult the conclusions of the financial analysis committee, expected as a key element of the file.
