The Tunisian Minister of Economy and Planning, Samir Abdelhafidh, received this Thursday Ulrich Brunnhuber, head of the public sector department for neighboring countries within the European Investment Bank (EIB). This meeting was an opportunity to examine the progress of several financial and technical cooperation programs, as well as the prospects for strengthening this partnership in the next stages.
In a press release published by the Ministry of the Economy, Samir Abdelhafidh expressed his satisfaction with the “exemplary” level of relations between Tunisia and the EIB, underlining the common desire to further consolidate them within the framework of the 2026-2030 development plan and its economic and social priorities.
The minister also insisted on the importance of maintaining a continuous dialogue between the two parties in order to provide more flexibility to programs and financing mechanisms.
For his part, Ulrich Brunnhuber, on a working visit to Tunisia, praised the quality of existing cooperation between the EIB and Tunisia. He reaffirmed the availability of the European institution to strengthen this partnership, both financially and technically, in a spirit of mutual respect and trust.
