The Tunisian Prime Minister, Sarra Zaghfraniwas received on Wednesday at Al-Ittihadia Palace in Cairo by the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sissiin the presence of the Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and several members of the two governments.
During this meeting, the two officials have confirmed the importance of developing bilateral relationsboth official and popular, and have underlined the need to consolidate economic and commercial cooperationespecially on the occasion of 18ᵉ Session of the Tuniso-Egyptian mixed commissionconsidered as a strategic platform to explore new investment opportunities and joint projects.
They also exchanged their views on Regional and international issuesinsisting on coordination between the two countries to face common challenges and contribute to the resolution of regional crises.
The dialogue focused on the role of private sector in the development of common projects in Africathus reinforcing the Tunisian and Egyptian influence in their regional environment.
The Egyptian President praised the efforts of the Tunisian president Kaïs Saïed in the conduct of reforms and economic development, while S. Zaghfrani transmitted the greetings and official invitation of the Tunisian president to make a visit to Tunisia. In turn, S. El-Sissi renewed the invitation to President Saïed to attend The inauguration of the great Egyptian museumscheduled for November 2025.
This visit is part of a Strategic strengthening of Tuniso-Egyptian linksmarked by continuous economic, political and cultural cooperation, and by a common desire to promote regional and African integration.
