The National Institute of Meteorology (INM) has updated its vigilance card, placing the regions of the north and the center of the country at the yellow level, due to expected weather disturbances. The objective is to draw attention to the potential risks linked to these conditions.
The areas concerned are: Bizerte, Le Grand Tunis, Nabeul, Béja, Jendouba, Siliana, Kef, Zaghouan, Sousse, Monastir, Mahdia, Kairouan, Kasserine and Sidi Bouzid.
According to the INM, the weather situation of this afternoon will be marked by the formation of local thunderstorms accompanied by sometimes abundant rains, with cumulative people up to 30 and 50 mm, as well as hailstorms in places.
Strong gusts of wind are also planned, which can exceed 70 km/h, especially during stormy episodes.
