A work session on the progress of the Tunisia Autoroutes company projects, was held this Wednesday, August 27, 2025, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Equipment and Housing, SLAH ZOUARI. The event brought together the CEO of the company, Ahmed Ezzeddine, as well as several executives from the ministry and the company.
Monitoring of current projects
The meeting focused on the progress of the main projects like the dismantling of the Sousse toll station; construction of the toll stations on the Gabès-Medenine-Ras Jedir motorway; the development of service areas and new rest areas.
Discussions also focused on maintenance and security along the motorway network, including the maintenance of the tracks and infrastructure; pruning trees and the maintenance of green spaces; measures to guarantee user safety.
Acceleration of work and improvement of services
Minister SLAH ZOUARI insisted on the need to accelerate the finalization of current programs and construction sites; strengthen road safety throughout the motorway network; to improve the quality of the services offered to users.
Tunisia Autoroutes currently operates 743 km of fast roads. These projects aim to guarantee the sustainability of the network, the safety of users and better traffic experience for motorists.
