The criminal chamber near the Tunis court of first instance pronounced on Tuesday a sentence of three years in prison against Afif Frigui, former president of the Tunisian Association of Road Prevention. He was prosecuted for financial and administrative corruption cases linked to the management of the organization.
According to the first elements, the case concerns financial irregularities and management abuses within the association. The court decision confirms the severity of the accusations chosen against Frigui, which led the structure for a long time before being dismissed.
AFIF Frigui was arrested on July 1, 2024 by agents of the El Gorjani criminal affairs sub-directorate under execution of the deposit warrant issued against him by the accusation chamber 32 of the economic and financial judicial center, for financial and administrative corruption in the management of a public association, fraud, detention and use of a fraudulent document, creation of a false certificate and a certain number of charges and a certain number of charges financial.
