The National Consultative Committee on Real Estate Operations, under the Ministry of State and Property Affairs, recently approved 12 files for the transfer of real estate belonging to the State for the benefit of public infrastructure, as well as 5 property acquisition files on behalf of the State.
These operations are part of the will of the ministry, in coordination with the various structures concerned, to facilitate and accelerate the realization of public projects and to resolve certain pending land situations, said an official press release from the ministry.
At the meeting of the commission, the Minister of State and Land Affairs, Wajdi Hedhilistressed the importance of redoubled efforts to examine all requests for the services of the ministry. The objective is to quickly make these real estate available in order to allow the realization of scheduled public projects.
This decision reflects the priority granted by the government to the optimization of its land resources for the development of public infrastructure.
The rapid processing of transfer and acquisition files is a means of lifting bureaucratic blockages which often slow down the realization of essential projects such as hospitals, schools, or administrative equipment.
It also shows the desire to rationalize the management of state goods, by promoting their use for the general interest rather than remaining underused or in a disputed situation, however steps remain to be crossed.
