On the sidelines of the Fita 2025 forum devoted to financing and trade in Africa, Tunisia has taken a new stage in its industrial strategy. On May 6, 2025, the Tunisian Association of Manufacturers of Automobile Components (TSFAP) and the Tuniso-African Council of Affairs signed a strategic partnership agreement. Objective: to make Tunisia a key player in the automotive industry in Africa.
This alliance is based on a vision of development based on South-South cooperation and the promotion of Tunisian expertise in future fields: electric mobility, intelligent manufacturing and innovative components.
The agreement also plans to take advantage of the regional dynamics offered by the Zlecaf and the COMESA.
A dedicated export platform will be born to support Tunisian companies wishing to fit into African value chains. Structuring projects with high impact will also be developed.
In parallel, the two institutions will organize common training and events, in collaboration with academic circles, and will regularly share strategic information on the markets.
With this new impetus, Tunisia confirms its desire to occupy a central place in the future of the automobile on the continent.
