Civil protection teams have controlled 149 fires in a single day, out of a total of 516 interventions recorded across the country.
The Tunisian civil protection units have carried out 516 interventions in the last 24 hours, the institution spokesperson said on Monday on his Facebook page. 149 of them concerned fires, reported in different regions of the country.
The other interventions are distributed as follows:
- 123 rescue and road assistance operations,
- 228 various incidents outside road accidents,
- 10 specific operations in other sectors.
In the context of the agricultural season and harvest, civil protection calls on farmers to scrupulously respect the prevention measures, in particular the maintenance of agricultural machines after use and the compulsory presence of extinguishers in the fields, in order to limit the risk of fire.
