Tunis: Metro broken down!

The Tunis Transport Company announced, in a press release published Le Matin du Tuesday August 12, 2025, that a breakdown occurred at the level of electric airlines of metro trains, at the Tunis Marine deposit.

This breakdown resulted in a power outage between the electric conversion stations of Tunis Marine and rue de la Gare, thus preventing the full release of the oars for the operation, leaving only a train by line in circulation.

Pending the repair of this breakdown and the gradual recovery of the exit from other trains, the company has set up buses to ensure the transport of users, connecting:

  1. Ben Arous’s Terminus station and Barcelona station.
  2. ARIENA and the Republic’s correspondence stations, via the correspondence station December 10.
  3. Khair-Eddine and Barcelona stations, via the Slimane Kahia Correspondence station.
  4. The Intilaka and Republic stations, via Bab Saadoun.
  5. The stations M’Rouj 4 and Barcelona, via the correspondence station El Menzah.

In parallel, the other usual bus lines connecting the districts to the center of the capital have been reinforced.
