The meeting of the Regional Cleanliness Commission of the Governorate of Tunis, held yesterday, recommended the development of a calendar and an intervention program aimed at eradicating blackheads in order to improve the environmental situation and to achieve the expected objectives.
Participants called for the implementation of intervention programs on public roads and in the entrances to cities, in coordination with the regional equipment directions and the various public stakeholders.
They insisted on cleaning the surroundings of the roads, the cleaning of the wadis and the pipes, in particular the approach of the rainy season, as well as on the collection of waste at fixed times and the regular cleaning of the containers.
The presents have also underlined the need to strengthen control, ensure rigorous daily follow -up, to sanction offenses if necessary, and to designate a representative of the governorate of Tunis to ensure coordination with municipalities, remove obstacles and propose solutions.
It has also been recommended that land delegates to make visits to site, to follow municipal work, to involve civil society, citizens as well as business owners, and to promote cleanliness values and ecological conscience.
