Tunis firmly condemns the total reoccupation of the Gaza Strip by Israel

Tunisia strongly condemned the Israeli announcement aimed at fully reoccupying the Gaza strip and dispersing its inhabitants. This plan, revealed by the occupying entity, plans to confine the population in a reduced area. According to Tunis, he violates international laws and seeks to erase the Palestinian cause, while breaking the resistance of his people.

For the Tunisian authorities, this initiative represents a new episode of the crimes attributed to Israel. It also illustrates an increasing contempt towards the international community and universal humanitarian values.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stresses that the severity and brutality of these acts are intensifying every day. In his press release, he affirms that this situation places the major powers and international institutions, in particular the UN Security Council, before a historic responsibility. Thus, they must act to put an end to the violence and protect the Palestinian people, faced with what Tunis describes as genocide crimes.

In addition, Tunisia reaffirms its total support for the Palestinian people. She defends her right to recover imprescriptible rights and establish an independent state, sovereign on the whole of the Palestinian territory, with East Jerusalem for the capital.

Finally, it should be recalled that the Israeli security firm validated Thursday evening, then formalized Friday, the plan of Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu to occupy Gaza-Ville militarily. This decision implies the forced displacement of tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians, already hungry, to precarious camps located in the center of the Gaza Strip.
