Tunis came alive this morning with the launch of a popular march on Avenue Habib Bourguiba, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the outbreak of the Tunisian Revolution.
This citizen initiative comes in a context of strong mobilization on social networks, where calls to defend national sovereignty and to resist any foreign interference have circulated in recent days.
Participants in the march brandished numerous banners and chanted slogans affirming their refusal of any external intervention in Tunisia’s internal affairs. They also called for transparency and accountability in public management, emphasizing the need to hold political and economic actors accountable to the nation.

For several observers, this popular mobilization reflects a renewed citizen attention to the founding values of the 2010-2011 Revolution, which began in Sidi Bouzid before spreading throughout the country, leading to the fall of the previous regime. Today’s march, although peaceful, symbolizes a clear message: the defense of independence and sovereignty remains a priority for a significant part of Tunisian society.
For other observers, this march comes to support the President of the Republic Kais Saied whose regime has faced protests defending freedoms in recent weeks.
The security authorities supervised the march in order to ensure the smooth running of the event and avoid any excess. Several journalists and media outlets in attendance covered the event live, highlighting the diversity of participants, ranging from young people to older citizens.
