The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, received yesterday Friday, March 28, at the Palais de Carthage, the Minister of Health, Mustapha Ferjani, yesterday to take stock of the main decisions taken in favor of the health sector in the Gafsa governorate.
During this meeting, the measures adopted to compensate for the insufficiencies observed in several hospitals in the region were reviewed.
Among them: the installation of prefabricated basic health centers, the strengthening of the ambulance park and mobile resuscitation units, as well as the creation of new health structures and support for human resources in the sector.
The Head of State has reaffirmed his desire to rebuild the health system nationally, stressing that access to care is a fundamental right for all citizens.
In addition, discussions also focused on a bill to set up a new status for doctors, paramedical staff and health agents, with a view to improving the functioning of the sector and ensuring quality services throughout Tunisian territory.
