Tunisian Post announced, this Tuesday, July 15, 2025, the free provision of a digital portfolio called E-Dinar Wallet for each citizen. Accessible in all post offices and via the D17 mobile application, this initiative intends to promote financial inclusion, while generalizing the use of digital payments in the daily life of Tunisians.
What E-Dinar Wallet allows
Concretely, this digital portfolio gives access to a wide range of services:
• Money transfer and sending of mandates (instant or classic)
• Payment of invoices (electricity, water, Internet, telephony)
• Withdrawal of cash without card via the post DAB
• Payment with merchants affiliated with D17
• Administrative cost regulations (technical control, B3, etc.)
• Payment of school and university registrations, meals and exams via the platforms of the Ministry of Education
A versatile tool that aims to replace the queues and complex steps with a few clicks.
What is free … for now
According to the official press release, the opening of the wallet is completely free. No activation or access costs for the D17 application is required. This is a first in Tunisia for a financial service of this magnitude.
But the free free concerns access to the tool, not necessarily the use of associated services.
