Units of the Tunisian armed forces participate, alongside the American army, in the Tunisian phase of the joint military exercise “African Lion 2025”, which will take place from April 22 to 30 in Tunisia.
This exercise will also see the participation of military forces in several countries including Libya, Senegal, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Italy, France and Spain, as well as observers from Egypt, Greece and the Organization of the North Atlantic Treaty (NATO).
According to a press release published this Friday, April 11, by the Ministry of National Defense, this exercise aims to strengthen joint military strategic capacities, in particular in terms of crisis management, emergency interventions and the fight against cross -border threats. It also aims to promote the exchange of expertise in operational planning, military medicine and cybersecurity.
In addition to the field maneuvers, training sessions and theoretical courses will be organized, relating to military engineering, cybersecurity, military law, public relations and operational communication techniques. These activities will be carried out by Tunisian and American officers, and will allow participants to familiarize themselves with the latest technologies and methods in these different fields.
