Following the tragedy that occurred in Mazzouna, the General Federation of Secondary Education called all colleges and high schools in all regions to suspend the courses tomorrow, Tuesday April 15, 2025, in homage and in mourning for students who died during the collapse of the exterior wall of a high school in Mazzouna, in the governorate of Sidi Bouzid.
In a statement, she also called to protest against what she considers the disengagement of the authorities and their inability to find real and serious solutions to save public school.
The union holds the Ministry of Education and the authorities in place responsible for this tragedy, which it attributes to the abandonment of efforts to rehabilitate school infrastructure and to the absence of a national plan mobilizing the resources necessary to save the public education service, according to the press release.
