The Ragouj soap opera rewarded by the Minister of Agriculture

This Ramadan, Ragouj, a soap opera broadcast on the Nessma channel, captivated Tunisian viewers by approaching a crucial subject: rational management of water.

Through an emotional story and endearing characters, the series has highlighted the issues related to the excessive consumption of this vital resource, especially in a country where the challenges linked to water are increasingly pressing.

The impact of the soap opera was not long in coming. This Tuesday, March 25, 2025, during an official ceremony, the Minister of Agriculture, in the presence of players in the environment and culture sector, awarded a distinction to the creator of the series for the relevance of its themes.

“The problem of water, its rationing and preservation are topical subjects that affect all Tunisians. “Said the minister when the award is awarded.

Ragouj is thus part of a new dynamic of television series which are not content to entertain, but seek to transmit strong social and environmental messages. The choice to deal with such an essential theme in the middle of the month of Ramadan, a period of sharing and reflection, has only amplified the impact of the series on collective consciences.

The Minister recalled that water management is a major challenge for Tunisia, due to difficult climatic conditions and the growing rarity of this resource. “It is essential that each citizen becomes aware of the importance of preserving water, not only for agriculture, but also for future generations,” he added.

The craze for Raggouj thus shows that there is a real demand for productions that combine entertainment and commitment.
