The Tunisian Ministry of Health has taken a new stage as part of the “Essaha Aziza” program, receiving this Friday, May 30, 2025 a first delivery of 233 vehicles and various medical equipment this Friday. The ceremony was held in the presence of the Minister of Health, Mustapha Ferjani, and the European Union ambassador to Tunisia, Giuseppe Bertoni.
This logistical support is part of a cooperation project funded by the European Union aimed at modernizing and strengthening the capacities of the health sector in Tunisia, especially in the poorest regions. The material received will allow better support for the front line structures, in particular emergency services, which will benefit from a real logistical and operational boost.
The “Essaha Aziza” program does not stop there. It has already enabled the acquisition of more than 2,300 medical equipment for local care centers. Among them, medical imaging devices (scanners, mammographers, ultrasounds), electrocardiographers, as well as many other machines essential to the diagnosis and rapid management of patients.
In parallel, the Ministry of Health’s car fleet was reinforced by the purchase of around 263 vehicles, including 50 ambulances, thus facilitating the transport of patients and the intervention of medical teams in the field. Computer equipment has also been provided to improve the management and coordination of services.
Implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Health, this European program aims to make care more accessible and more effective, in particular in the interior regions, often faced with human and material resources.
