Under the chairmanship of the head of the government, Sarra Zaâfrani Zenzri, a ministerial council was held this Saturday May 24, 2025 at the Kasbah Palace to examine the new economic and social program of the State.
This program aims to reconcile economic growth and social justice while affirming national sovereignty, decision -making and strategic autonomy of the country.
From the opening of the Council, the government’s heading stressed the importance of this structuring program which is based on a series of deep, both economic and social reforms. It is part of an integrated development logic, with a desire to meet the current challenges of the country based on a legislative, institutional and operational transformation to strengthen the pillars of the national economy.
This program is available around several axes affecting all vital sectors: health, education, finance, industry, energy, youth, culture, sport, administration and public services. It grants a particular priority to the promotion of employment, to the improvement of the standard of living, to the consolidation of social protection and to the valuation of human capital. It also provides targeted measures to preserve the purchasing power of vulnerable and medium classes, while accompanying the entrepreneurial initiative.
The reform of the legislative framework is also among the priorities, in connection with the modernization of the education system, vocational training and the health sector. The program also insists on the need to stimulate investment by releasing private initiative, promoting public land and modernizing transport infrastructure, especially rail and port. Efforts will also be made to strengthen food security, boost industry and tourism, digitize public services and support exports.
Finally, the regional and local dimension is at the heart of this strategy. A new ascending participatory approach will be implemented to identify development priorities at local level, through local, regional and national councils. In parallel, the digital transformation of public administration constitutes a central pillar to ensure transparency, modernize services and encourage the digital economy. The entire program will be followed thanks to performance indicators and advanced technological tools, guaranteeing effective implementation within the imparted deadlines.
