The General Directorate of Public Accounting and Collection reminds that the tax amnesty in force for the tax on built buildings expires at the end of the year. The taxpayers concerned are called upon to regularize their situation before the deadline in order to benefit from the advantages provided for by this measure.

The deadline for taking advantage of the tax amnesty relating to the tax on built properties is set for December 31. The announcement was reiterated by the General Directorate of Public Accounting and Recovery (DGCPR), under the Ministry of Finance, through an official communication posted on its Facebook page.

This measure is aimed at taxpayers owed arrears for this local tax. It allows them to pay the amounts due while benefiting, under certain conditions, from the elimination of penalties and late payment interest accumulated over the years.

Call for regularization without delay

The DGCPR invites concerned citizens to take the necessary steps without delay with the competent municipal revenue authorities. The tax administration emphasizes the importance of anticipating payments in order to avoid congestion of services during the last days of the year.

According to the authorities, early regularization not only facilitates the processing of files, but also guarantees taxpayers effective access to the benefits of amnesty, under fluid administrative conditions.

An incentive before the end of the year

This amnesty is part of a series of provisions aimed at improving the collection rate of local taxes while offering taxpayers an exceptional opportunity to clean up their tax situation. After the set deadline, the debts will again become subject to the penalties provided for by the regulations in force.

The services of the Ministry of Finance therefore point out that the end of the year constitutes a decisive deadline for those concerned wishing to avoid additional charges in the future.
