The Ministry of Education has made public a circular specifying the dates of continuous assessment for middle and high schools, public and private, for the 2025-2026 school year. This schedule aims to guarantee better evaluation of acquired knowledge, to correct the shortcomings observed and to ensure fairness between students.

First trimester: checks before November 22

According to the circular addressed to regional directorates, inspectors and heads of establishments, the control assignments for the first quarter must be completed and corrected before November 22, 2025, while the summary assignments will be held from December 1 to 13, 2025 (with a week before blocked from the 1st to the 6th and a week blocked from December 8 to 13).

  • Week before blocked: December 1 to 6
  • Blocked week: December 8 to 13

Second quarter: summaries at the beginning of March

For the second quarter, the controls must be completed before February 14, 2026, and the summaries will take place from February 23 to March 7, 2026 (week before blocked from February 23 to 28 and week blocked from March 2 to 7).

  • Week before blocked: February 23 to 28
  • Blocked week: March 2 to 7

Third quarter: end of May

Finally, for the third term, students in the 7th, 8th and 9th years of basic education as well as those in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of secondary school will take the tests before May 9, 2026, while the summaries will take place from May 13 to 26, 2026 (week before blocked from 13 to 19 and week blocked from May 20 to 26).

  • Week before blocked: May 13 to 19
  • Blocked week: May 20 to 26

Bachelors: specific calendar in May

Students in the 4th secondary year (baccalaureate) will have a specific timetable: their control assignments must be completed before May 2, 2026, and the summary assignments will be held on May 6, 7, 8, 11, 12 and 13, 2026.

This system, according to the ministry, is part of a logic of harmonization of educational practices and progressive preparation for national exams, while ensuring a more coherent and equitable continuous assessment at the national level.

  • Control duties: to be completed before May 2, 2026
  • Summary assignments: May 6, 7, 8, 11, 12 and 13, 2026
