The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, said, during a meeting held on Wednesday at the Palais de Carthage with the government’s chef, Sarra Zaâfrani Zenzri, that the lobbies which try, by all means, to stir up tensions and to provoke crises, cannot remain outside the field of account surrender. Those who serve them within the administration will also be responsible, he added.
According to a press release from the presidency, Kaïs Saïed stressed that those who have long been unemployed are more worthy of occupying the positions of those who lack loyalty. He insisted on the fact that patriotism, sincerity, dedication, austerity and without limits must be the fundamental criteria in the choice of managers of the management of public services, as well as state agents and public enterprises.
The Head of State also deplored the systematic recourse to administrative procedures as a pretext for inaction, believing that when a direct intervention makes it possible to solve a simple problem, these justifications disappear strangely.
He thus called for an in -depth revision of many laws, as well as certain appointments and institutions whose very existence is called into question.
