Saïed attacks the administration again

The President of the Kaïs Saïed Republic once again directed his criticisms against the Tunisian administration, during his meeting, this Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the Palais de Carthage, with the head of the government, Sara Zaâfrani Zenzri.

True to his rhetoric of firmness, he warned against any attempted sabotage or disguised privatization of public institutions, threatening those responsible for such excesses of legal sanctions.

“There will be no compromise on our institutions and our public enterprises. Anyone who has contributed to their destruction to prepare for their transfer will have to respond to the law, “he said, according to a press release from the presidency.

The Head of State was not limited to a denunciation of principle. He has pointed to the practices he deems inadmissible in certain administrative services, qualifying their functioning as “abnormal”. He thus claimed severe measures against any act of deliberate negligence or voluntary failure to the obligation of service.

In his vision, the administration must be “at the service of citizens without discrimination”, and those who direct it should be exemplary, by showing themselves up to their mission.

Kaïs Saïed also criticized the multiplication of institutions which, according to him, dilapident of public money without achieving the objectives for which they were created. It advocated a rationalization of administrative structures, focusing on efficiency rather than quantity.

The president also called for more responsibility to young people, bearers, according to him, of a new patriotic impetus. It considers that the time has come for them to “take over”, provided they rethink the legislative texts to promote the emergence of a new way of managing public affairs.
