The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, presided this Thursday, May 29, a meeting of the Council of Ministers on Thursday, May 29 at the Palais de Carthage. He reaffirmed, at the opening, the need to continue a real legislative revolution, in particular in the social field.

For the head of state, social stability is a fundamental prerequisite for the creation of wealth. He thus called to rethink the laws with a militant mentality, guided by the desire to respond to the aspirations of the people.

In this sense, the president insisted on the clarity and scope of the draft decree prohibiting the use of subcontracting in the public sector. He mentioned the upcoming dissolution of the company Itissalia Services “Itissalia Lilkhadamat” and the integration of its agents in the structures where they work.

Itissala is undertaken mainly owned by public companies specializes in services to business and individuals. It provides its customers with several services. It is a subcontractor of labor.

A measure intended to put an end, according to him, for a form of “disguised easement” imposed on thousands of workers. He also denounced the half-measures and pleaded for a frank rupture, qualifying this battle as a “national liberation war” to lead on all fronts.

The meeting also focused on the precarious situation of sites workers and the means to guarantee their rights to worthy employment and fair remuneration. In addition, tracks have been mentioned to reform social funds, with a view to restoring their financial balance and improving their performance.

The president also proposed to reduce the number of ineffective public companies that exhaust national resources, by redirecting budgets to value -creating institutions.

Finally, Kaïs Saïed reiterated his will to fight tirelessly against corruption. He stressed that development can only be carried out in a transparent and fair framework. He criticized those who, according to him, disseminate a defeatist speech for electoral purposes, recalling that Tunisia has abundant wealth and remarkable skills. The president wanted to be reassuring: the Tunisian people, with their past struggles, remains resolved to move forward and to triumph despite the obstacles.
