The Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians abroad has reaffirmed, this Thursday, its determination to closely follow the case of the murder of the Tunisian citizen Hichem Miraoui, in coordination with all the parties concerned.
In a statement, the ministry said that as soon as the Tunisian Tunisian identity is confirmed, and in consultation with his services and the Tunisia Consulate General in Marseille, the Tunisia Embassy in France immediately contacted the competent French authorities in order to shed light on the circumstances of the drama, highlighting the need to translate the murderer and to firmly condemn this odious act.
In this context, the Tunisia Ambassador to Paris received a telephone call from the French Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, who expressed his lively condemnation of this crime, as well as his regrets for this tragic act. He also addressed his condolences to the family of the deceased and the whole of the Tunisian community in France.
The French minister said that the judicial and security authorities have opened an investigation into the murder author in order to elucidate his motivations. The first elements suggest that the assault would have racist springs. Due to the severity of the act and the ideology of its author, the case was entrusted to the anti -terrorist unity.
On June 3, the French official went to the headquarters of the Tunisia Embassy in Paris where he sentenced the assassination of Hichem Miraoui, qualifying the act of “racist”. He assured that the competent French authorities are fully involved in order to shed light on this murder and judge the culprit in accordance with the legislation in force.
