TotalEnergies has appointed Ouafa Kourdaa President and CEO of TotalEnergies Marketing Tunisia and Country Chair for Tunisia. She succeeds Mutaz Nazzal, called to new functions within the group, and becomes the official representative of the company in the country.
TotalEnergies has formalized the appointment of Ouafa Kourdaa to the position of President and CEO of TotalEnergies Marketing Tunisia and Country Chair Tunisia. She succeeds Mutaz Nazzal, who is leaving his position to take on other responsibilities within the group.
In this position, she became the company’s main representative in Tunisia and took charge of a strategic subsidiary, with nearly 300 employees and generating more than 4,000 indirect jobs in the country.
This transition is part of a dynamic of managerial continuity, but also of strengthening TotalEnergies’ development strategy on the Tunisian market, in a context of profound change in the energy sector.
An international journey between consulting, strategy and operations
Trained in Tunisia before joining ESCP Business School, Ouafa Kourdaa began her career as a management consultant at Capgemini, where she led transformation and organization missions for large international groups.
She then joined the Marketing & Services branch of TotalEnergies, where she took on several strategic responsibilities. She started in the Africa–Middle East Department, in charge of development and external growth projects, before taking responsibility for operating the service station network in France.
She then led the development of the motorway network, in particular the deployment of a network of nearly 150 service stations equipped with high-power electric charging stations, a project which positioned TotalEnergies as the leading player in electric charging on motorways in France.
Her career finally led her to the group’s Strategy and Markets Department, where she worked on important investment files covering the Gas & Power, Trading & Shipping and Marketing & Services areas.
A well-established and expanding subsidiary
In Tunisia, TotalEnergies relies on an extensive industrial and commercial network: eight industrial sites, nearly 160 service stations dedicated to the distribution of fuels and around fifty Quartz centers specializing in lubricants.
Over the last three years, the group has invested nearly 100 million dinars in its Tunisian activities, confirming the strategic importance of the local market in its regional roadmap.
A group committed to the energy transition
Globally, the Marketing & Services branch of TotalEnergies serves more than 8 million customers daily through nearly 16,000 service stations around the world. Present in 107 countries, it relies on more than 31,000 employees to offer a multi-energy offering covering fuels, biofuels, electric charging, gas and associated services.
The group’s parent company, TotalEnergies, has more than 105,000 employees and a presence in more than 130 countries, with a strategy focused on energy diversification, low-carbon transition and security of supply.
With the appointment of Ouafa Kourdaa, the Tunisian subsidiary is clearly part of this transformation dynamic, combining commercial development, infrastructure modernization and gradual adaptation to new energy uses.
