Orange Tunisia: Stéphane Varret appointed Managing Director

Orange Tunisie announces the appointment of Stéphane Varret to the post of Managing Director, in succession of Thierry Millet, recently called to take the general management of Orange Money Group.

With more than twenty years of experience within the Orange group, Stéphane Varret has occupied strategic responsibilities in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, in the fields of finance, development and business transformation.

Since March 2023, he had exercised the function of Director of Orange Middle East and Africa (OMEA)covering 17 countries. As such, he led the regional declination of the strategic plan Lead The Futureand conducted several structuring projects in long -distance connectivity, infrastructure (torcos, satellites) and mobile financial services. He also piloted external growth operations, including the creation of the Orange-Vodacom joint venture in the DRC.

A graduate in economics (Paris II Panthéon University), business management (ISC Paris) and the senior Executive Program in finance and management (ESCP Europe), Stéphane Varret has a solid academic course, supplemented by recognized expertise in the management of complex projects. He notably held the posts of Financial director then Deputy Managing Director of Orange Côte d’Ivoireas well as CFO of Orange Spainwhere he contributed to the return to growth and accompanied strategic merger with Masmovil.

Its international experience and its fine understanding of the challenges of the sector constitute major assets to carry the development of Orange Tunisia, in a context marked by innovation, digital transformation, the requirement of operational excellence and the development of very high speed services.

Married and father of three, Stéphane Varret took office on September 1, 2025.
