The Master Repair program celebrates the graduation of young people trained in the installation and maintenance of photovoltaic panels. This initiative, supported by Orange Tunisia, its Foundation and GIZ, aims to strengthen the employability and self-employment of young people with little or no qualifications in several regions of the country.

A program for employability and self-employment

Master Repair, co-financed by Orange MEA and supported by the GIZ develoPPP program, is part of the German government’s “Invest for Jobs” initiative. It targets young people with few or no qualifications and offers them specialized technical training, particularly in the repair of electronic equipment, the installation of photovoltaic panels and the deployment of optical fiber.

In 2025, 44 young people followed a 25-day certified training course in photovoltaic systems, including 17 women and 6 people with disabilities. The program was carried out in partnership with Handicap International and local associations such as DJAGORA, CIT’ESS Mahdia, the Association Jeunes Science de Tunisie and EL SPACE.

Four modules for a complete course

The course included four components: installation and maintenance (certified by ANME), technical sales, development of soft skills and digital manufacturing. Each participant received a complete kit allowing them to enter directly into the job market or launch their entrepreneurial project.

The graduation ceremony offered young people visibility with companies and partners, strengthening their professional opportunities. The training spaces, equipped and secure, ensure the continuity of the program which will continue in 2026 and 2027 with new free and accessible sessions, in line with Orange Tunisia’s national strategy in terms of employment, digital inclusion and entrepreneurship.
