The Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy, Fatma Thabet Chayeboub, Tuesday evening kicked off the operation of new high -precision laboratory services, installed at the technical center of the food industry and at the Technical Center for Chemistry.

The minister went to the scene with the European Union ambassador to Tunisia, Giuseppe Perrone, the German ambassador, Elisabeth Wolbers, as well as several executives from the ministry.

These laboratories have been set up as part of the competitiveness and export support program, managed by the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), in collaboration with the ministry and financed jointly by the European Union and Germany.

Fatma Thabet Chayeboub praised the level of cooperation with European and German partners, highlighting their commitment to the development of the Tunisian industrial fabric, improving the quality and productivity of products.

The new equipment will provide manufacturers and start-ups with advanced analytical services, especially in the detection of pesticide residues for the food industry and the analysis of dangerous chemicals.

They will contribute to providing reliable results and compliant to European Union standards, thus strengthening quality controls, while providing industrial technical centers with modern means to support companies and stimulating exports.
