The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, received, this Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at the Palais de Carthage, Nabil Ammar, who gave him his receivable letters as a permanent representative of Tunisia with the United Nations in New York.
This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians from abroad in a statement.
An experienced diplomat, Nabil Ammar held several high -level positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He was notably Minister of Foreign Affairs from February 2023 to January 2024. Previously, he was Ambassador of Tunisia to Belgium, to the European Union and NATO.
His experience and master’s degree in international affairs will be assets to defend the interests of Tunisia in the United Nations.
With this appointment, Tunisia intends to strengthen its diplomatic presence in the UN in an international context marked by many political and economic challenges.
