The Correctional Chamber of the Tunis Court of First Instance decided Thursday to postpone the examination of the file to journalist Mohamed Boughalleb on June 23, 2025. He is being prosecuted for having, according to the accusation, infringed an official through a publication on social networks, said his lawyer, Me Hammadi Zaâfrani.
The lawyer specified in a declaration granted to the TAP agency that this postponement comes pending official confirmation of the complainant’s summary.
The case originates in a complaint filed by a academic who considered himself defamed by a publication that Boughalleb had shared on his personal Facebook page.
As a reminder, a deposit warrant had been issued against the journalist on April 5, 2024 by the investigating judge of the Tunis court of First Instance, under article 24 of Decree-law n ° 54 relating to the fight against offenses linked to information and communication systems.
