The Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, represents Tunisia in the 3rd ordinary session of the joint meeting of foreign ministers of the African Union (AU) and the European Union (EU), scheduled for Wednesday in the Belgian capital.

Displayed in Brussels by President Kais Saied, the Tunisian diplomacy chief will also take part in the first meeting of monitoring of Afro-European cooperation, said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published on Tuesday.

These meetings will be focused on the progress of cooperation between the AU and the EU, especially in the economic, commercial and cultural fields. At the heart of discussions also: major files such as migration, peace, regional security and multilateral cooperation mechanisms.

This series of consultations is part of the next Africa-Europe summit, whose issues promise to be crucial in the light of migratory tensions and development challenges shared between the two continents.

On the sidelines of the work, Mohamed Ali Nafti must hold several bilateral meetings with African and European counterparts, as well as with delegation leaders and senior officials of the two regional organizations.
