Customs and security services succeeded, on Monday, at the port of Radès, to thwart an attempted smuggling of an extremely large quantity of narcotic tablets, initially estimated at more than ten million tablets, reports Mosaic FM.
According to first information available, the competent authorities at the port of Radès issued suspicions concerning the cargo of a container from a foreign country.
Ben Arous’s first instance prosecutor’s office was informed, and his representative went there to supervise the seizure operation. The quantity of tablets seized exceeds ten million, pending the completion of sorting and final counting.
