The Médenine University Hospital carried out, this Monday, May 19, 2025, its first catheterization operation on Monday, May 19, 2025 successfully based on the new digital platform Nejda.tn.
This device, initially deployed to cover the governorates of Medenine, Tataouine, Kébili and Tozeur, aims to be generalized to the entire Tunisian territory. The objective: to initiate a new era of digital management of heart emergencies, according to a press release from the Ministry of Health.
The 56 -year -old patient was admitted in an emergency for a myocardial infarction at the Kébili regional hospital. She was quickly transferred by a Samu Gabès unit to the Médenine cardiology department, where she underwent an intervention of catheterization the same day. The operation took place successfully and the patient is currently in a stable state.
Developed in partnership with the Tunisian company of cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, the high authority of assessment and accreditation in the health field and the Ministry of Health, the Nejda.TN platform allows early detection of cardiac crises and instant patient monitoring, thus constituting major advance in cardiovascular emergencies.
“Nejda” is based on an instantaneous medical data transmission system between emergency rooms, cardiologists and hospitals.
