The physical education tests, organized within the framework of the June 2025 session of the baccalaureate, take place today under normal conditions in several governorates of the country, notably in Sfax, Sousse and Monastir.
The dedicated exam centers have welcomed the candidates as planned, without major disruptions reported to date.
This ordinary course contrasts with the tension prevailing in the education sector, after the call to strike launched by the General Federation of Secondary Education (UGTT).
The union protests against the absence of concrete measures following the drama that occurred at the Lycée de Mezzouna, in the governorate of Sidi Bouzid, where the collapse of a wall caused the death of three students and injured several others.
Mazzouna’s tragedy, which deeply shocked public opinion, has revived the debate on the state of dilapidation of many schools across the country.
The wall that collapsed, according to the first observations, presented signs of obsolescence, in a high school already pointed out for its degraded infrastructure.
Faced with this drama, the Federation of Secondary Education estimated that the conditions are not met to maintain examinations in serenity and security. It calls for an urgent responsibility for the authorities concerned.
