On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the Municipality of Marsa, in coordination with the municipal police, the regional directorate of the national police and the technical police, proceeded to the demolition of several illegal constructions on the Kilometric Route 5 in Gammarth. Under the supervision of Ms. Olfa Zahrouni, delegate of the Marsa, three walls and a warehouse built without authorization were removed in accordance with municipal decisions aimed at enforcing the urban regulations in force.
This operation is part of a series of regular interventions carried out for several years by the municipality in order to combat the anarchic occupation of the maritime field and unauthorized constructions in the region, especially in Gammarth. These actions include the demolition of Beach Bars and other illegal structures, aimed at preserving the coast and the maritime public domain.
Local authorities reaffirm their commitment to maintain these control and demolition campaigns to ensure security, preserve the urban environment and enforce the laws in terms of town planning.
