The Kais Saied president announces the gradual end of subcontracting in the public sector, denouncing a “form of disguised slavery”. Through a series of concrete measures, he intends to guarantee professional stability and the dignity of contractual agents, while reaffirming strict respect for the law.

The President of the Kaïs Saïed Republic announced on Tuesday at the Palais de Carthage, a series of decisions aimed at definitively prohibiting the use of subcontracting in the public sector, qualified by the head of state of “disguised slavery”.

During a meeting with the ministers of social affairs, Issam Lahmar, and communication technologies, Sofiane HMISSI, the president confirmed that the draft decree in preparation will include the dissolution of the company of telecommunications services and the reallocation of its employees in their current labor places, according to the rules in force and the latest provisions of the Labor Code.

Kais Saied said that this reform aims to “break definitively” with precarious contracts used in public administration, which he considers a persistent social injustice. He insisted on the importance of restoring the dignity of workers through legal legitimacy based on respect for fundamental rights.

“When an agent feels in a situation of stability, freed from injustice, he appropriates the institution, invests more and its productivity increases,” he said, highlighting the benefits of a professional environment just for the functioning of public services.

The president also warned against any attempted pressure or bypassing workers’ rights. He insisted that the laws promulgated must be applied strictly and that any offense will result in legal responsibilities.

Finally, Kais Saied concluded that this approach does not aim to create new imbalances, but to establish a sustainable social justice framework:

“When justice prevails and stability is reached, wealth increases and everyone benefits. »»
