In tribute to union leader Farhat Hached, President Kaïs Saïed visited the martyr’s mausoleum before making a series of visits and declarations in Tunis. Between national memory, political warnings and direct exchanges with citizens, the Head of State delivered a day marked by the reminder of the struggle, justice and institutions.
Tribute to Farhat Hached
The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, visited the mausoleum of Farhat Hached on Friday morning to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of his assassination. He recited the Fatiha there, in the presence of members of the martyr’s family.

The Head of State extended this tribute to all the activists who contributed to the birth of Tunisian trade unionism.
Political message to the Kasbah
At the end of the visit, Kaïs Saïed went to the government palace in Kasbah for a meeting with the head of government, Sarra Zaâfrani Zenzeri.
He affirmed that “the Revolution continues and that there is no question of undermining the institutions of the State”. The president warned against any attempt at pressure or influence, declaring that Tunisia “will neither give in to lobbies nor to those who serve their interests within the administration.”
Saïed insisted that no one is above the law, whatever their rank, believing that the strength of the State lies precisely in its laws and its institutions.

Meeting with citizens downtown
The president then toured several historic sites and buildings in the rue de la Mosquée Zitouna and its adjacent streets, in the heart of the medina of Tunis. He was interested in the state of the architectural heritage and the conservation of ancient sites, before continuing his visit to the city center.
While visiting the main arteries of Tunis, Saïed spoke with many citizens who came to share their daily concerns with him.

According to a video published by the presidency, he assured that efforts were continuing “relentlessly” to meet social expectations as quickly as possible, reaffirming his desire to listen directly to the population.
