Kais Saied: “No one is above the law”

The President of the Kais Republic Saied underlined on Monday, during his meeting with the head of the Sarra government Zaafrani Zenzri that the Tunisian State is governed by its institutions and its laws affirming that no one is above it.

The president called for not hesitating to distance those who do not serve the interests of the people, insisting on the imperative to work for the realization of the aspirations of the Tunisians as soon as possible.

Cited in a press release from the Presidency of the Republic, Kais Saied noted that the State is deployed to reconcile economic growth and social justice. In this context, he underlined the need for new visions to break with unjust policies that have led thousands of Tunisians and Tunisian women to poverty and exclusion, in addition to continuing the fight against corruption.

He also said that retrograde forces found servants inside administrative services. He underlined the need to request accounts from these forces and their supports which act against the interests of citizens and seek to stir up tensions in the country.

The meeting also made it possible to review a draft bills and decrees which will soon be submitted to the Council of Ministers.
