The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, underlined, during his intervention at the opening of the 4ᵉ edition of the African Interafican trade fair which is held in Algeria, that the project carried out by Tunisia and several countries on the continent does not concern a specific sector, but engages the future of all Africa and humanity.
According to the Head of State, it is not only a question of trade, infrastructure, agriculture, new technologies or services, but of a global and integrated vision, based on ideas and innovative concepts designed by Africa and for Africa, within the framework of a sovereign will.
Kaïs Saïed insisted on the need for African countries to bet on their own potential and to build their future far from any logic of colonial domination or hierarchy between states, while remaining open to cooperation with international partners, provided that it really serves the interests of their peoples.
The president recalled that the continent has considerable resources and energies allowing him to become an influential player on the world scene. The real challenge, he said, consists in transforming these assets into concrete projects capable of generating fair development, establishing social justice and offering new perspectives to future generations.
